aloha friday comin' atcha!

 

i kinda wanna be right there, right now, all day. you too??

so most of yesterday was spent with me thinking it was friday. i do that a lot. it's a sucky sucky moment when your entire world comes crashing down all around you as you realize no, no in fact it isn't friday-close, but no cigar. 

its thursday. 

well, at least it wasn't wednesday right?? 

gotta find that silver lining!

this was a busy week with all kinds of good stuffs!!!

-the biggest little started her SAT classes. these are gonna make her all kinds of smart, prepared "almost" college girl. she probably won't leave my house because you see umbilical cords dont really stretch all that far but we are workin' on it.

keala with victoria the on set teacher. this is a perk of having kids on set- a teacher to help them!!

-spent 3 days filming for our show- you can read about the excitement here!!

exhausting work! you wouldn't think it but for me, just having to do my hair and make up and stand up straight is really like tough work. oh, and i had to wear heels, i wasn't my usual barefoot self for 3 whole days! 3 days!! 

car cam-this can be tricky coz you have to remember to keep your road rage down to a dull roar

-the littlest little had a great soccer game and wasabi girls won. yeah! i pretty much stayed in my seat most of the game. whose proud of me??? huh? 

-the dawgs won against stanford last night! yea!!! they said they wouldn't win. they said they had no chance. they underestimated the men in purple. they shouldn't do that.

-might be planning to see a few of my fav northwest peeps in the next month or so.

-no, shane is not completely sold on being bill to my sookie for halloween but im still workin on it and it may be looking up.

-i am also still working shane on my pet pot bellied pig. i have good feelings....

i mean come on! its a hawaiian pig!

-it's aloha friday, no work til monday...nuf said!

-oh, as a special treat that will make you feel like you truly are the best mom on earth, today i leave with with one of my favorite moments from a toddlers and tiara's mom.

tomorrow is my littlest little's first soccer game of the season. im promising myself that i will cheer quietly this year and stay in my seat. mama gets a lil 'cited.....im hoping there won't be any cleats to the face like last season.

its also football season. the dawgs are playing saturday, gonna go hang with some good friends and watch them win. please keep fingers crossed for our u.w. huskies.

this week went by really fast- probably because i was insanely busy and lost my mind a few times but whateva makes the week fly right?

i got past the ice world on mario bros playing with 2 of the littles. of course this made the list.
have you ever played that game? have you played in the ice world? you slip and slide and fall into the icy waters and the jingle bell music slowly makes you mad. completing this is aloha worthy for dang sure!

1. Favorite Color? I would have to say yellow because its so bright and cheery, but i never wear yellow because i don't think its the most complimentary with my skin tone which is white with a tint of white and white undertones.

2. Favorite Animal? Monkeys! i actually think i may have married my husband because he kinda sorta might  look slightly like a monkey- so cute!

4. Favorite Drink? gonna go with coffee. i can't start my day without it so it deserves the honor of being my fav. im actually one of those people that cant wait to go to bed because i know when i wake up i get coffee- yaya!

5. Facebook or Twitter? im goin' with facebook. my daughter set up a twitter account for me a few years ago and i have never used it because i don't get it. im still trying to figure out how to "grab buttons", one thing at a time here.

6. Good Book or Good Movie?  
book! love when i find something worth spending my precious free time doing. whats free time you say? oh, its those 10 minutes before you nod off and drool on your kindle.

My Passion. this is a funny question. my UPS guy asked me this about a month ago. yes, my UPS guy likes to hang about and ask me questions. this was one of his. i had no real answer. i have lots of things i love to do but passion? uh.....im gonna make it my mission to come up with a passion. coz i got nuthin' over here!

8. Giving or Getting Gifts? personally im a giver. i have always loved to pick out special things for people. i am not so good at putting those special things in an envelope and/or box and actually getting them to the person. im working on my gift giving follow through.

aloha friday

hey, hey, hey!

i spent the better part of this week feeling sorry for myself coz after 7 days (6 of which i have had NO voice) i still have this nasty cold.
aloha friday is not meant for whining so the gloves are comin' off and im kickin some germ butt!!

 
-i got a few nice emails from some awesome bloggers. when people go out of their way to be kind i wanna just kiss them. i wont do it now because i am sick but just you wait....its coming....

-big brother season 14 started last night. i have a feeling i will be talking about bb14 way more than one should. you will get annoyed. i wont apologize because this is my favorite show eva' and i wait alllll year long!

-shane is learning snoop dogs 'gin and juice' on his ukulele-im gonna rock that number just so you know....

-we got a surprise package from family. it had some of the best teriyaki sauce ever in it. it comes from shanes uncle kays restaurant and it makes all other teriyaki sauce taste like cardboard. if you're ever in vancouver washington you'd be a complete dummy not to stop in to 'jett burger cafe'. it's the bomb and you can either listen to me on this or go through your life completely lost because you never tried it..... thank you duke and lori!

-i met a new friend, his name is nyquil. he promised me sleep without coughing. i wish i would have met him days ago but regardless we have become fast friends and he has not let me down since wednesday.


because this week was slim pickins on awesome stuff im gonna go work on my 'tude and kickin this germ outta my body. i will be leaving you with a video of my littlest of littles.
this is how i feel most days-it brings new meaning to '3 ring circus' but for her its fun and she practiced until she could do it. i have decided not to tell her that once she has a family she will be doing this trick in her sleep....effortlessly.

now ain't that the best news you've hear since last aloha friday?!

here's what rocked my week:

-got home from mexico sunday and all the littles were waiting. they missed us. we are loved.

-the big brother cast bio is out! yessss! we are on t minus 6 days people!

-wednesday was a holiday. in the middle of the week! hows that for awesomeness?!

-as i am sitting here typing this shane is preparing a binder of sheet music and tuning his ukulele for our upcoming trip home to seattle. who wants to jam and listen to me think i can sing????? i get better as the night wears on-or is that my own made up story in my head? hmmm....

-i have a cold. no, but wait. lemme explain. this happens to be awesome because what i have here people is a whole valid reason as to why i can't do certain household chores on my week-end. huuh, huuh, whose genius now hey?!!!

-today is my littlest little's birthday. tomorrow is her birthday party. we gots all kinds of partying planned!!

happy birthday moo, moosie, moosie bear, littlest little, maile raymond bean, moomalina, lil mama.... you are so easy to love.

yes, yes i know i talk about all those things above allllll the damn time.  but they all applied this week in major, get down, get dowwwwn ways.

school is out-summa is here!!

i will be cruisin to mexico in like, hours.

i got a call from the set designer of true blood who invited me on a private set tour yesterday. i got to see it all! i was most excited to check out the furniture i did for the set (already blabbed about here) and lemme tell ya, it was a good thing it was private (4 of us) coz i had full on super fan moments everywhere...at merlottes, in jasons apartment, sookies kitchen.... shameful really.

i tried to get better pics but they had filmed the day prior and the main lights were mostly all off on the sets that they don't use too often.  it was a really fun day for me-i loved seeing it all!
